Bec Sullivan is Co-Founder and Research Director at Survey Matters, Australia's specialist research agency for associations and member-based organisations.

Bec leads research design and delivery across the firm, overseeing all quantitative and qualitative projects. Over fifteen years she has worked with associations spanning professional services, health, internet and technology, manufacturing, retail, transport and mining, delivering research that has surveyed hundreds of thousands of members and produced the evidence behind advocacy campaigns, membership model reviews, workforce policy submissions and strategic plans across the sector.

She is the architect of the AI Skills Readiness Index, an evidence-based AI capability framework built specifically for professional and industry associations. Developed in response to a widening gap between how quickly AI is reshaping professional work and how prepared most professions are for it, the assessment gives associations the data to measure member capability, identify skills gaps and advocate credibly on workforce policy.

Bec's work sits at the intersection of research rigour and strategic application. She helps associations identify and articulate their value proposition, build stakeholder engagement, and track the industry trends that shape their members' working lives - always with a focus on what the organisation should do differently once the data is in.

She writes regularly on member research, AI and the future of the association sector. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Business and Information Technology (Hons) from the University of Melbourne.
